Significance of 12/12/12 in Numerology

The I M OM Workshops:
Inner Movement=Outer Movement
As December 2012 approaches, I figure it's a good time to share my numerologist friend, Traci Rosenberg's, perspective on the meaning of 12/12/12.
That's a whole lotta 12's going on in one day, so I figure it must mean something! :)

Here's Traci's explanation of it:
"If you are wondering what is so significant about the date 12-12-12, here is the numerological significance...

The number twelve represents a cosmic cycle (12 months in a year, 12 signs of the zodiac, 12 hours in a day - twice).  When you add up the numbers 12-12-12 they equal 9, which represents an ending.  So the date represents the ending of a cosmic cycle!  This is huge!!  The Mayan Calendar ends on 12-21-12, which also equals 9, representing an ending.  How are the two dates different?

There are 9 days in between the two dates.  These 9 days are a period of integration.  When one moment ends there is always a pause before the next moment begins.  This pause happens to last 9 full days.  During that time the cosmic shift will be integrating through our energy fields.  We are likely to feel tired and need more sleep during this time.  It is very important that we connect with our higher selves during this 9 day period.  This is one of the reasons we will need more rest as sleep is the best way to connect to higher consciousness.

Additionally, the power of this energy is magnified when we come together
in groups.

The end of the Mayan Calendar signifies the full ending (including the 9 day pause or integration period).  The date 12-22-12 equals a 1, which reflects a new beginning.  "

Traci and a bunch of other facilitators, including myself, will be involved in a bunch of FREE events from 12/12-12/21. If you're in the South Jersey area, stop by for FREE!!
Did I mention they're free?? :)
Here's Traci's description of the events:
"Beginning on 12-12-12 we will have a special event where the Talk-N-Angels radio show will air live from Pilates Core Center.  The event will include a meditation, and a panel discussion about the ascension process.  Those who attend will have the opportunity to ask questions to the panelists live on the radio.  This event is free, but we ask that you register ahead of time so we know how many people to expect.

The following 9 days there will be free events each day designed to connect you with your higher self.  Check out www.PilatesCoreCenter.com for details.

On the evening of 12-21-12 we will have another special event that will begin at 10:00pm and end at midnight.   This event will feature a special ceremony that is being passed down by the Munay-Ki, a native american tribe that facilitates 9 Rites of Passage into the new age.  Rite One:  The Healer's Rite, will be given to each person who attends that evening.  This Rite will raise the vibration of your hands so that anyone you touch will be blessed. "

So, feel free to join us in happy thoughts, good intentions and community during the magical month of December.

11/21/12- 1 Month till Gateway of Transformation?

Gateway of Transformation?
There's a lot of chat right now about the end of the Mayan calendar on December 21, 2012.
It's being called, " The Shift"& "Birth 2012", amongst other names for it.
Some would say it's the end of the world, others say there's nothing special about that date.
Regardless of viewpoint, we're at the one month countdown, as of today.

I hold the perspective that it's a time of change.
An end to a way of thinking and of living.
When I studied with Charles Virtue (Doreen Virtue's son), at the Angel practitioner certification a couple of years ago, he shared a view that made a lot of sense to me.
I remember very clearly when he said, "Mankind wasn't supposed to evolve for the purpose of commuting to work every day, sitting in heavy traffic, working from a closed-off cubicle, day-in and day-out."
It's like humans forgot their purpose!
Ever since men lived in caves, they've invented things for survival and that drive kept the human race evolving and thriving for thousands of years. But, really, since the 1950's , we've stopped making things for survival and have been focusing on making things for fun.
(Case in point: bigger, flatter TV's; maller, faster computers; cell phones that speak to us now, etc.)
This quest of bigger, better tools was driven by the male perspective in a Patriarchal society.

12/21/12, in my view, is a time of ushering in love, compassion, healing and harmony.
What if it's a gateway of change, a shifting from the male energy of 'living from the head' and honoring the female energy again, of living 'from the heart', and perhaps returning to somewhat of a matriarchal system?
That's not to say that one way is better than the other, it's just perhaps a time of living more in balance, honoring the feminine and masculine energy within all of us, the yin AND the yang.

Some say that if you believe nothing will happen on 12/21/12, then you're right.
I believe the seeds of change are planted and 12/21/12 will be when the seedlings of love & peace start sprouting.
There's a great global initiative of focus that will be joining people worldwide, all day, around the clock on 12/21, in prayer and meditation. It's become a day of envisioning prayer, healing, harmony and peace for all. If you google it, you will find there are 'peace hubs' sprouting up all over the world, so people can join others that day in the spirit of good will.

In a wondrous gift of synchronicity, 12/22/12 happens to be the Winter Solstice, a purported time when the veil between heaven and earth thins and manifestation of wishes is easily achieved.

Whatever YOU believe the date 12/21/12 represents, please join the global community in praying/meditating on peace, love and harmony at some point on this day so it can truly be a GATEWAY of TRANSFORMATION for the world.

Turkey Symbolism and Meaning

The I'M OM blog is a collaboration of writers sharing their spiritual perspectives.

**Listen to Traci Rosenberg and Kristy McAdams on the TalkNAngels Radio show on 11/14/12! We'll be talking turkeys then too! 7:00 PM- 8:00 PM -http://www.wifiam1460.com/ or TalkNAngels.com **

It's Turkey Time!
As we approach Thanksgiving, it's a good time to look at what deeper meanings the Turkey may hold for us.

When you see an animal that’s outside of your usual daily encounters, whether it be a live animal, a statue, in a picture, etc.,
it’s a good time to research animal totems and what the animal
represents for you at this time of your life.

Some animal totems stay with us for our whole lifetime and
some just come to help us at different points in our life.

My friend,Traci, recently shared her experience of turkeys with me and her spiritual perspective on their meaning:

"I was driving in my car – and a bunch of turkeys with a lot of babies crossed the street stopping my car.  I have never seen this before.
Turkeys have a long history associated with spirituality and the honoring of the Earth Mother.
The turkey is the symbol of all the blessings that the earth contains, along with the ability to use them to their greatest advantage.
Because the turkey lives for 12 years and it takes the earth 12 months to revolve around the sun, the turkey honors the life cycle of the earth.
The symbology of seeing all those turkey babies suggest a new life cycle for the earth as well as for us.

Turkeys are native to our continent and were raised by the Aztecs and the Mayans.  They feed on nuts and acorns which are associated with hidden wisdom and new seeds of growth.  Animals that eat nuts and acorns reflect that “new nourishment” in the form of “new wisdom and/or growth” is likely to occur.

Male turkeys have a peculiar growth on their forehead that inflates.  This growth has been linked to the symbology of the third eye – the center for higher vision.  It is considered the seat of feminine energies within each of us.  This reflects its tie to Mother Earth and all its feminine energies and possibilities."
~ Traci Rosenberg, Numerologist (www.SoulTalkwithTraci.com)

The animal totem TURKEY can also represent:
Abundance and fertility
A connection to the third eye, insights
Appreciation of mother earth
Generosity
Preparation
New beginnings
Pride
Survivor
Renewal/Rebirth

Love, light and Happy Thanksgiving to you!
